Dr Amit Nagpal born in 1974, completed his medical graduation from PGIMS, Rohtak, Haryana in 1996 with 7 medals for standing first in the various disciplines.
He was awarded Gold medal for standing first in the University.
He was awarded roll of honour for standing first in the over all M.B.B.S. at Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak.
He did DNB ophthalmology from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi in 2001.
Acquired M.N.A.M.S in 2003, from National Academy of Medical Sciences New Delhi.
He did Research Fellowship in Vitreo Retina Department between April 2002-September 2002.
He underwent fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery between 2002 and 2004 in Medical Research Foundation, a unit of Sankara Nethralaya where he is currently Consultant in Vitreo retina & Oncology services since 2004.
He has presented 15 scientific papers in the National Conferences.
He was awarded with the certificate of merit for the best paper presentation at Kolkata, AIOC 2001.

He has published 8 papers in the peer reviewed National and International journals.
He is a co-author of 5 Chapters of the ophthalmology textbooks
He is a member of AIOS (All India Ophthalmological society) , Delhi, Ophthalmological society (DOS), Vitreo Retina Society of India ( VRSI) & North Zone Ophthalmological Society (NZOS).

His fields of interest are: VITREO RETINAL SURGERY & OCULAR ONCOLOGY
