Dr. Bharti Sharma completed her medical graduate degree from JJM Medical College, Davengere, Kuvempu University, Karnataka, in 1995; MS (Ophthalmology) from Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (BFUHS, Faridkot), Punjab in 1999. She underwent fellowship training in Cornea and General Ophthalmology between April 2000 and March 2001, followed by Fellowship in Cataract-Microsurgery (Phaco) between April – June 2001 in Medical Research Foundation, a unit of Sankara Nethralaya, where she is currently working as Associate Cornea Consultant. She has published 3 papers in peer-reviewed journals. She has presented 4 presentations at national conferences. She is the recipient of the Gold Medal for Best General Ophthalmology Fellow during 2000-2001 in Sankara Nethralaya.
