Dr. Manonmani Balachandar passed her M.B.B.S. at Madurai Medical College, Madurai and completed her post graduation in Anaesthesiology in Kilpauk Medical College , Chennai. She started the career as Medical officer at a Govt. Primary Health Centre, Salem . She has also worked in Ministry of health at Islamic Republic of Iran for 7 years and also worked as consultant Anaesthetist, at Sir Ivan Stedford Hospital, Chennai. She is a Consultant Anesthesiologist at Sankara Nethralaya since the last 10 years

Her field of interest includes Paediatric Anesthesiology including Anaesthesia to R.O.P. babies.
