Dr.G.V.Sailender did his graduation from M.B.B.S. Government Medical College, Bellary ( Karnataka University ) and P.G.Diploma in Anaesthesia from Post Graduate Diploma in Anaesthesiology; Mysore Medical College (Govt. of Karnataka) MYSORE (Karnataka).

He has twenty nine (29) years experience as Resident and Consultant in Anaesthesia in reputed Hospitals in Kerala, Karnataka and Chennai. He has experience in branches viz General Surgery, Orthopaedics. Trauma, Pediatrics, Obstetric and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology field block, ENT, Urology, Spinal Anaesthesia Lumbar and Thoracic Epidurals Regional block Post-operative analgesia.

He worked as Chief Anaesthetist in Sankara Netralaya, MRF, from 1992 - 2002 and subsequently continued as Professor in Anaesthesiology from 2002 till date.

He has presented several papers in national and international conferences.

He received the Lions Club Award in 2007 for associating in Anaesthesiology in performing M.O.O.K.P.

He is also an active sportsman and has represented Karnataka University basket ball team.
