Title: Molecular mechanisms of amino acids at the level of signal transduction in retinal pigment epithelial cells, retinal capillary endothelial cells and pericytes.

Scope :

•  To study the effect of glucose and advanced glycation end products on cultured retinal capillary endothelial cells and Pericytes.

Duration: Three years

Expected benefits : To see if aminoacids can have beneficial effects in diabetic retinopathy by altering survival signalling.
