A Senior consultant in department of Glaucoma , Dr Abha has experience of over 13 years in field of ophthalmology. She has completed M.B.B.S from N.K.P Salve medical collage and research centre and Lata Mangeshkar hospital Nagpur (M.S) (2006) Post Graduation (DNB) completed from Sadhuram eye hospital , Lions club of Hyderabad (2010).She is alumni of Aravind eye hospital, Pondicherry where she completed long term fellowship in Glaucoma (2012-2014) and also short term Phcoemulsification fellowship. She was involved in medical and surgical training program of post graduated and was part of ongoing research activities in the institute .She took part in various cataract and school eye screening camps during her post graduation and fellowship program.She worked in Sadhuram eye hospital Hyderabad as Jr consultant in cartaract and glaucoma services for 2 years (2014-2016)

She joined Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai in August 2016 as associate consultant and worked for 15 months at S.N Main campus in Department of Glaucoma for 15 months, thereafter she started working in CU Shah Sanakra Nethralaya branch in Glaucoma and Cataract services and was promoted as Consultant in 2019 and thereafter promoted to Senior Consultant in 2022 .She is actively involved in training of post graduates and fellows .She has presented papers and surgical videos in State and national conferences .She is passionate clinician and surgeon and has done over 2500 cataract / glaucoma surgeries during her tenure at SN till date

• She was the 1st prize winner at 28th Annual C.M.E", Sarojnidevi Eye Hospital, 2009 Hyderabad.
• She was a Faculty AIOS-PG REFRESHER COURSE 2013-14, and was awarded for the same.
• She was faculty at SN glaucoma conference ‘SANGAM” in 2017
• She has also co -authored paper presented at AAO 2015 Titled: Intraocular Pressure Reduction after Phacoemulsification versus Manual Small-Incision Cataract Surgery: A Randomized Controlled Trial
