She is an alumnus of Himalayan Institute of medical Sciences, Jolly Grant, Dehradun and she received her specialty training in Pediatric Ophthalmology from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. She has worked as a senior resident in Ophthalmology at Himalayan Hospital, Dehrandun and Government Medical college and Hospital, Chandigarh.
