She completed MS Ophthalmology from Banaras Hindu University Varanasi in 2004 and Cornea fellowship from Sankara Nethralaya Chennai in 2006 .She was conferred the Jayaben Chamanlal. Shah Endowment for the best outgoing fellow in 2006. She currently Heads the Cornea Services at Sankara Nethralaya Kolkata.

She has authored multiple publications in national and international peer reviewed journals and has presented scientific papers and posters at several national and international conferences.She remains actively engaged in academic activities ,surgical innovation,and training initiatives in the field of Cornea and Anterior segment surgeries.
