Dr. Ria Utpal Majumder completed her MBBS from B. J Medical College, Ahmedabad in 2017 and MS Ophthalmology from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO), Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata in 2021. She has also cleared DNB Ophthalmology in 2022 and ICO (International Council of Ophthalmology) in 2024. She finished her Fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus and Neuro Ophthalmology in 2025 from Sankara Nethralaya, Kolkata.

She has been working as Associate Consultant in the department of Pediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus and Neuro-ophthalmology at Sankara Nethralaya, Kolkata from the year 2026.
