Dr Shweta is a distinguished ophthalmologist specializing in cornea and ocular surface disorders, with key interests in ocular allergies. She is an esteemed member of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI). Internationally trained in advanced keratoprosthesis, she is among the few surgeons proficient in both Type 1 and Type 2 procedures, including the rare “tooth-in-eye” surgery (Osteo-Odonto-Keratoprosthesis). She now leads the Ocular Surface Clinic at Sankara Nethralaya, providing comprehensive care for a wide spectrum of ocular surface disorders ;which she had been an an integral part for over 15 years. A passionate academic, Dr Shweta has authored peer-reviewed papers, book chapters, and founded the educational YouTube channel OcularSurfaceGurukul to mentor future specialists.
