Dr. Sudha K. Ganesh completed her medical degree from Madras University in 1986. She finished her senior residency in internal medicine at Madras Medical College in Chennai and subsequently earned her postgraduate degree in Ophthalmology from Sankara Nethralaya Chennai in 1991. Since May 1992, she has been working as a consultant at the Medical Research Foundation in the Department of Uveitis. Currently, she is the Director of the Department of Uveitis. She is a member of the All India Ophthalmic Society and the Uveitis Society of India. She served as President of the Uveitis Society of India from 2012 to 2015. She has attended and presented papers and lectures at numerous international and national conferences. She has 75 publications in peer-reviewed journals and authored the first Atlas on uveitis from India. She was a co-investigator in several multicentric international clinical trials in uveitis and is also a reviewer for many peer-reviewed national and international journals.Her areas of interest include ocular inflammation (uveitis), cataract surgery in uveitic eyes, infectious uveitis, and research related to ocular inflammation.
